[No Title]
(Column 6)

Summary: Roster of 93rd Virginia, upon their mustering out in 1814. Indication of Augusta's patriotism then and now.

Excerpt: "In these days of military activity, it may be a matter of curiosity to recall to mind the names of those who only a few years ago were ready to respond to the call of their country. How few of them yet remain among us; yet we see their sons now motivated by the same spirit--worthy sons of worthy sires. I may yet hunt you up other documents of this sort though more ancient."

For the Spectator
(Column 7)

Summary: "Justice," who wrote a letter to the paper on August 23 complaining about faulty tax collection is writing again. He blamed the commissioners originally but now sees that the problems are not their fault. Bottom of letter is obscured.
