(Column 2)Summary: Court of Appeals has upheld judgement in Sanger vs. Central Railroad Company. Augusta Court had awarded Sanger damages for injuries sustained in a train derailment in 1856. This case was the first time that a Virginia court had settled liability on the railroad.
