Excerpt: The people of Staunton do not seem to appreciate such entertainments at their proper value, and are more disposed to give thir money to strolling minstrels and itinerant jugglers than they are to receive for half price the solid and substantial entertainment afforded to people fo good taste by a sensible lecture upon some interesting subject.
