Virginia Gazette (Parks),
Williamsburg, September 19 to September 26, 1745.

RAN away from the Subscriber, living in Hanover County, on the first of this Instant, a likely young Negro Fellow, named Will; he took with him 2 Pair of wide Sailors check Trowsers, 3 Pair of brown Linen ditto, 3 Shirts of ditto, a Felt Hat, a Pea Jacket of Negroe Cotton, and a Piece of Cotton for his Bedding. He has very short Fingers and Toes, a pleasant Countenance, speaks but little English, and I believe he can't tell his Masters Name: I bought him last August, at Mr. John Blackwell's, on board of Capt. William Davis on Hampton, and 'tis suppos'd he may be gone that Way. Whoever will take up the said Runaway, and convey him to me, shall be handsomely rewarded, besides what the Law allows, by Aaron Trueheart.
