Forty Dollars Reward. Ran away from Mr. JOSEPH HORNSBY, in Nov. 1796, when he was about leaving Williamsburg for Kentucky, a Negro man named JAMES:--He is about 27 years of age, a very large, likely fellow, blacker than negroes commonly are, and has some scars about his neck, I am informed he is still in the neighbourhood Williamsburg; and will give the above reward to any person who will deliver him to me, or 50 dollars if delivered to Mr. NICHOLAS M. LEWIS in Albermarle. Masters of vessels and others are forwarned from harbouring or carrying said slave out of the state. WILLIAM HORNSBY. June 21, 1798
