The Geography of Slavery

Norfolk Herald (Willett and O'Connor),
Norfolk, June 2, 1798.

Ran away. From the subscriber, on the 15th of May, a Negro Man by the name of OWEN COLLINS, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, of a dark complexion ; had on when he went away a brown jacket and canvas trowsers. At the same time ran away a negro Man, (his brother) named JAMES; they have been seen lurking about Norfolk, or on Broad Creek. I will give a Reward of FIVE DOLLARS for the apprehending and securing of each of them. All persons are forwarned harbouring or carrying them off, at their peril. HENRY COLLINS. June 2, 1798.
