The Geography of Slavery

Norfolk Herald (Willett and O'Connor),
Norfolk, June 2, 1798.

Ran away. From the subscriber an Apprentice Lad by name WILLIAM UNDERJUE; had on when he went away a nankeen jacket, white trowsers, and a half-wore hat. He is about 19 years of age, of an Indian complexion and down look when spoken to. He is an ill disposed fellow, and I am determined to prosecute any person that harbours or carries him off. I will give a generous Reward to whoever will apprehend him, or inform where he is so that I get him. LEMUEL BAILEY. Norfolk. June 2, 1798.
