The Geography of Slavery

Richmond, May 22, 1793.

FIVE DOLLARS REWARD. FOR apprehending ROMEO, a Negro Man, who absconded from Ampthill, on Friday the 17th instant. He is of small stature--down look--short thick neck--small legs, and one or both of his feet frostbitten.--He wore a blue short coat, new hat, and half boots.--The fellow can WRITE, and may forge a pass. FOUR DOLLARS REWARD. STRAYED or STOLEN from Ampthill Mill, on the 8th instant, a Sorrel HORSE, with a blaze face-two hind and one fore foot white-rubbed on the breast with carriage gears-hanging mane-droop rein and scraped tail, branded on the buttock PW or TW. The above rewards for securing the Negro, or bringing the Horse to Ampthill, will be paid by JAMES M'BUDI, Overseer. Ampthill, 20th May, 1793.
