The Geography of Slavery

Virginia Chronicle and Norfolk and Portsmouth General Advertiser (Baxter and Wilson),
Norfolk, March 9, 1793.

RAN away from me on the 5th inst. a young lad (an apprentice) by the name of FRANCIS MALLORY, from Elizabeth-City county and parish, son of EDWARD MALLORY, deceased, who some expect is lurking about this town, or gone to Hampton.--I do hereby forewarn all persons from harbouring the said lad at the risque of the law.--I also will give a reward agreeable to law, to any person that will take him up, and bring him to me in Norfolk, or confine him so that I may get him again. GEORGE BILLUPS. Norfolk, March 7, 1793.
