Richmond, March 27, 1793.

COMMITTED to the jail of Chesterfield county, about the 20th of February, A NEGRO MAN taken up as a runaway, who says he belongs to one Thomas West, in Warwick county, Blant-point; he says his name is SIMON, and that he is about 25 or 30 year of age, about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high.-The owner is desired to prove his property, pay charges and take him away. HENRY WINFREE, Jailor. March 18, 1793.
