Five dollars reward. Run away from the subscriber, About the 16th of December, 1786, A Negro man named JOE, A VIRGINIA born slave. He is about 25 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, thick lips, stout and well made; he had on when he went away, a blue great coat, a dark brown jacket, and black breeches. Whoever secures the said negro in any jail, or delivers him to me, shall receive the above reward, and all reasonable charges paid by Leonard Paterson. Fredericksburg, Jan. 20, 1787.
