RAN away from the Subscriber, a Negro Man, called EMANUEL, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, very square made and of a dark brown complexion, with remarkable large eyes.---I remember no particular marks or scars, except his being some years ago burnt in the hand, the traces of which may perhaps yet remain.---He is very sensible and has a number of friends and associates among the lower class of whites.---I make no doubt he has procured a pass.---He was taken off in a vessel, and I understand passes for a freeman by the name of JAMES.---Whoever secures the said Negro in any gaol whatever, shall receive a reward of SIX POUNDS. SPENCER BALL. Northumberland County, June 3, 1785.
