RAN AWAY from the subscriber, living in Amelia County, about the middle of May, 1781, a young Negro fellow named JOE, about twenty three years of age, rather better than five feet high, and well made. I have reason to believe he went to the British, and as he was raised in New-Kent County, I expect he is lurking about the lower parts of Virginia. Any person that will give intelligence of him so that I may get him again, shall be well rewarded by JOHN TOWNES.
