Williamsburg, February 4, 1768.

November 12, 1767. Ten Pounds Reward. RUN away last night from the subscriber, on the great road near Abbot's Town, York county, Pennsylvania, the two following indentured servants, viz. WILLIAM JOHNSTON, about 5 feet 7 inches high, 25 years of age, of a ruddy complexion, round fac'd, brown hair short cut, and speaks good English. Had on when he went away, a blue cloth coat much worn, old trowsers and woolend drawers under them; his cloaths are much greased, as he is lately from the ship; also an old shirt much dirtied, a new felt hat, new shoes, and black stockings &c. The said Johnston was in the country before, and goes by the trade of a painter, limner, and glaizer. JOHN LAMB, about 5 feet 7 inches high, and about 25 years of age; of a ruddy complexion, long visag'd, brown hair pretty long, speaks thick, and has a stern look; is apt to swear, and given to drink, and is a taylor by trade. Had on when he went away, a suit of blue cloaths, middling good, with Bath metal buttons; his cloaths much greased, as he is lately from the ship. Whoever takes up the said servants, and secures them in any gaol, so as the subscriber may get them again, shall receive the above reward; or five pounds reward for each, and reasonable charges, paid by Dekar Thompson, Merchant in Falmouth; Capt. James Dickey, in King & Queen county; Dr. Walker, in Albemarle county; or the subscriber in August county, Brock's Gap, Virginia. JOHN GRATTAN.
