RUN away from the subscriber, near Port Royal, in Caroline county, on the 13th of last month, a Welch servant man named THOMAS JONES, about 6 feet high, straight and well made, has reddish coloured hair, and a great blemish in his left eye, very glassy towards the outside; had on when he went away an old whitish coloured broadcloth coat, old blue broadcloth breeches with ferret straps, a felt hat, a pair of Virginia shoes without welts, two holland shirts, one of them ruffled at the breast, two osnabrug shirts, and two pair of osnabrug trousers, both mended. He pretends to be much of a man as at cudgels and backsword when he is in liquor, speaks several languages, and writes a very good hand. He was seen going over Todd's Bridge the 18th of last month, and it is supposed will endeavour to make his escape by water. Whoever apprehends the said runaway, and brings him to me, or to Mr. John Cumming in Port Royal, shall have Twenty Shilling reward, besides what the law allows. All masters of vessels are forewarned from carrying him out of the colony. JAMES PATTIE.
