The Geography of Slavery

RUN away from the subscriber, in Botetourt, a Virginia born negro man named JAMES, about 5 feet high, 25 years old; and has a scar on his left hand, occasioned by the cut of an axe; had on a country linen shirt and trousers, and a new felt hat. It is imagined he is gone down to King and Queen, from which county he was bought. Whoever secures him in any jail shall have TWENTY SHILLINGS reward, besides what the Law allows. ABRAHAM BROWN.
