OCTOBER 9, 1769 COMMITTED to the gaol of Charles City county, a Negro man who says his name is CHARLES, and that he belongs to John Simson, of Culpeper county. He is about five feet 7 or 8 inches high, well made, and his upper fore teeth inclnable to rot. Has on a pair of oznabrigs long trousers, a Virginia cloth waistcoat, a cotton ditto, with a kind of flash cuff lined with blue. The owner may have him by paying charges as the law directs.
