No spoken word. Footage of the LeMarco Company in Roanoke. On October 13, 1959, WSLS ran a story on the reopening of this
business. "What began as a project to provide jobs for negroes in Roanoke failed," the station reported, finding that 75
% of the workers were now white women not "negro gals." (see box 0139)
