Interview with R.T. Mitchell

At the annual meeting of the Ninth District of the Virginia Teachers Association,
President Mrs. R.T. Mitchell commented on the impact of integration on black teachers.
Many black teachers in the Ninth District initially lost their jobs when the schools were
integrated. Mitchell asserted the situation has "become better" but is "still not
everything we would like."
