Educators Meet in Roanoke
|
|
Some 350 educators met at Hotel Roanoke to discuss how to make education "more palatable
and more lasting" for children K-12. School supervisors heard Ben M. Harris, associate
professor and supervision program director of the University of Texas, explain how the use
of visual aides helped children retain information. Dr. Francis Lankford of the University
of Virginia moderated a panel in the afternoon. John M. Pompem, managing editor of the Chattanoogan Times, was to lecture that Wednesday on "Education for the Changing
Decades Ahead."
