Muse Addresses Roanoke's Black Business Leaders
|
|
No spoken word. W.D. Muse, secretary of the Supreme Loan Company of Martinsville, spoke
to black leaders in Roanoke at the Magic City Building and Loan Company. He promoted
thrift and savings in the immediate community to stimulate business in the area. By
improving the thrift habits of individuals in an underprivileged neighborhood, more funds
would become available for loans to small businesses, which would lead to more job
opportunities - which in turn would result in better living conditions and better housing
for the inhabitants of the community, Muse said.
