Governor Almond Asks for Patience (WSLS Television, Roanoke, VA)
In a press conference, Governor Almond asked Virginians to have patience as the state government worked on plans to reopen schools across the state. Almond asserted that the conditions surrounding the school closings had been "thrust upon them by the NAACP armed with ruthless power by the federal courts."
