Norfolk Starts Registration for Private Classes
|
|
No spoken word. While the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals was deciding whether to grant
Norfolk schools a year's stay in school integration, the Tidewater Educational Foundation
attempted to register as many white students as possible for private classes in case
Norfolk's 6 junior and senior high schools were closed. This clip also contains footage of
an orderly demonstration at Norview High School in Norfolk, where white students demanded
their school be opened.
