Edward R. Dudley

Edward R. Dudley was born in South Boston, Virginia, in 1911. Dudley was a member of the NAACP legal staff and was appointed U.S. minister to Liberia from 1948 to 1949 and Ambassador to Liberia from 1949 to 1953. Dudley was appointed a state judge in New York in 1955.
